Meet other delegates before the first day of SPUSC007 proceedings.
Cost: Included in registration fee for delegates, $55 for others.

 

Optional Tour: Sunset at Q1

Departing at approximately 5:30pm, buses will transport delegates to Q1, the world's tallest residential building, at Surfers Paradise. Travel to the glass enclosed Observation Deck 235m above the ground, and see the majestic 360 degree view of the Gold Coast from the only beachside viewing platform in Australia. Watch as the daylight fades, the sun sets, and the lights begin to twinkle on the ground and in the sky, from Brisbane to Byron Bay. Delegates will enjoy drinks and cocktail food. Buses will return to Royal Pines at around 8:00pm, but delegates are welcome to stay in Surfers and return at their leisure. Please be aware though that late November is a busy time of year in Surfers Paradise, as year 12 students celebrate their graduation.

Conference Gala Dinner: Albert River Wines, Mount Tamborine

Departing at approximately 5:30pm, buses will transport delegates to visit this Queensland winery in the Gold Coast hinterland. Enjoy dinner at Auchenflower House, accompanied by a wine tasting and the “Ivory Trio” Jazz Band in this beautiful old Queensland colonial homestead with its wide verandahs, ballroom with beautiful timber cathedral ceilings, and fascinating history.
